Enough Pictures already, I is Back
Here is a short update to my EuroTrip05. Saint-Petersburg, Russia - Rocked! Food, Girls, Museums, all A+ but it all just on a surface, you take a little walk down a regular street, you see what I am talking about. Its like a twilight zone trip to the 80s. People who are not filthy rich/ are poor. Average salary is $130 a Month! So most of the people have to do something else to survive be it, money laundering, translations, circus performing, drug dealing or prostitution But if you got the dough youre the man!
if you got legs and strong enough to make it to the dance floor you can get a very nice girl to spend your evening with. (Doctors cure most of the stuff now :)). Air is pretty bad in the center of town because of the ridiculous traffic and relaxed laws about exhaust fumes. Also, before I thought it was crazy to drive in Manhattan during rush hours, now after what I saw in Saint-Petersburg my views on driving subject are slightly differ. They are freaking insane So, in any case, what I figured to myself, I love where I live now (New York) and I wouldnt be able to survive in Russia. Its been 16 years since I left that place, and to my surprise I is completely Americanized :).
Prague, Czech Rep. - Pretty Architecture (Gothic?) Streets remind me of a Vampire Masquerade game, but Customer Service to Nonexistent, its probably some kind of European thing. Nasty Europeans of the worst kind, stinky, rude and eh eh, you got to stick your finger up the waiters nose to get some kind of attention. Oh did I say that they stink? Ok Ill say it again, god daaaaaamn.I know why tho, its the Euro bath/showers, they dont seem to have them stand up showers, so in order to take a shower you actually have to take a bath and it's quite a time consuming endeavor. Czechs dont see American dollars as any kind of currency (same as Germans) they want Euros and Local Crowns. At times I thought that by the invention on Euro, all they did on the menus there is to switch the $ signs to €. Thus making a profit (Cheap bastards). Anyway Here is 1 little tip: In Czech Republic they charge 19% tax on purchases, that means it can be refunded at the airport, with a little trick! Which no one will tell you about unless you know. Its not enough to have bunch of receipts from all the shops you spend you hard earned cash, you actually have to get a form from the shop signed by the shop owner so you can present it at the air port to get your money back, but not a single sales person in those shops will tell you about it, so then you end up standing like an idiot at the airport trying to get at least $100-$150 tax refund and realizing that you just helped shaping the economy of the whole Czech republic. In conclusion, I had wonderful time in Prague, (mainly because I wasnt there alone..*wink*baby*wink*), but sorry to say I lived perfectly fine life without seeing it, nor do I want to visit it again
Dresden, Germany Mostly Harmless
In conclusion, my favorite vacation is all-inclusive warm Plane-Beach-Plane kind of thing, which Im about to schedule at work for September, dont be hating
