Children's books we never had

The Little Mole Who Knew it Was None of His Business is, quite simply, one of the funniest books you are ever likely to read (as long as you are not easily offended, that is!), with its unusual take on a natural bodily function combined with a simple tale of nature and discovery. When the little mole of the title discovers a pile of, well, pooh, on his head, he is absolutely certain that it doesn't belong to him, but sets out on a mission to discover who exactly the culprit really is. His investigation takes him into the world of many animals, as he wanders and compares the pile on his head to the piles that animals leave behind them. Outrageously funny, this cracking little book is an absolute delight and not only gives children the chance to talk about one of their favourite topics for discussion, but is also an intriguing way of introducing the idea of a nature trail, taking them on a trip that will leave them both laughing and learning.

Why I've copied and pasted the whole review from Amazon.com? So you know what this book is about and mainly because I do have a Russian Translation of this fine book in our galleries, for viewing pleasure of my Commrades. It does look rediculously funny when it's in your own language :)
You might want to consider buying the rest of funny, insightful and educational books for your kids, with titles like:
The Gas We Pass: the Story of Farts
Everyone Poops (My Body Science)
Bottling Burps for Grandma (Potty Poets)
Marvin Wanted More
Who Flushed Granny Down the Toilet

or simply explain using various visual ad's! :) and ehh, Farting Nun Organ

On BOTNETS

While browsing around I've stumbled upon this paper. It's pretty interesting read if you're into network security and/or intrusion detection. This paper documents discusses what Botnets are, who is using them, how, and why. It also introduces the tools 'mwcollect' and 'drone' which can be used for collecting and tracking Botnet activity. Know your Enemy: Tracking Botnets
Using honeynets to learn more about Bots.

Honeypots are a well known technique for discovering the tools, tactics, and motives of attackers. In this paper we look at a special kind of threat: the individuals and organizations who run botnets. A botnet is a network of compromised machines that can be remotely controlled by an attacker. Due to their immense size (tens of thousands of systems can be linked together), they pose a severe threat to the community. With the help of honeynets we can observe the people who run botnets - a task that is difficult using other techniques. Due to the wealth of data logged, it is possible to reconstruct the actions of attackers, the tools they use, and study them in detail. In this paper we take a closer look at botnets, common attack techniques, and the individuals involved.
Intrigued Yet? Read the rest…

P.S. To add to the info above. Read this: Know Your Enemy: Honeywall CDROM.
Whats it for? => Honeynets are time consuming to build and deploy. One of the most difficult components is the Honeywall gateway, the physical device that acts as Data Control and Capture. Traditionally, this was built by manualy combining a variety of tools. The Honeywall CDROM attempts to make deployments easier as all the tools and configuration files are supplied on a single CDROM ready to go. Also, the CDROM allows organizations to standardize their deployments, making them easier to manage and centralize/analyze the data they collect. Note: This cdrom doesn't come with honeypots :(, you have to place them behind the Honeywall gateway. Download 65mb ISO of Honeywall Here (v.0.69)

Yo, shake that money maker!

Ok, so I dug out a way of making like some pocket change with this website :) See those ugly white ad's on top of the page? You have to click it, and I'll make 25 cents, just enough to open a freaking business… Anyway, I'm still playing with this ad stuff from crispads.com to see if I can make it less ugly and constant with the rest of the color scheme of the site.

P.s. You can also click on google ads and even use my paypal donation button, help poor guy to pay for hosting :)
